Skin Care guide for Men

I’m going to do a one off post with regards to men’s skin care products. As with women, men also have a range of different skin types and sometimes they do not know what to use for what. Here are some of the chosen products for the five most common skin types:(Psst.. if you are unsure what skin type you are, press a clean tissue on your skin when you first wake up, it’s a good way of telling).

I’m going to be showing the two best products, one luxury and one drugstore.

Oily Skin

Dry Skin

Sensitive Skin

Normal Skin

If you have normal skin, ie skin that doesn’t get oily or dry, then you have the best skin. The skin care world is your oyster, but, try an anti aging moisturiser such as Superdrug Men’s Anti-Ageing Moisturiser with SPF 15  or Lab Series Skincare For Men Daily Moisture Defense Lotion Spf15 . Do not forget to also exfoliate on a regular basis.

For those of you who wear a lot of make up, try Simple Micellar water or Elemis Micellar water to remove make up.Those who have a combination skin type (oily t zone, dry cheeks etc) try a mixture of the products above or Clean and Clear’s Dual Action Moisturiser. One last thing, do not forget to apply shaving balm after you have shaved.

Do not forget to drink plenty of water and eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. Get a good nights sleep and exercise on a regular basis (even if its just taking the stairs instead of lift). A combination of all these will help to improve your skin.
